Have lunch - or dinner - on us!

Our latest Ready To Work (RTW) recruits are are anxious to show off their talents, and what better way to do that than to make you a delicious lunch or dinner.

Please join us on from March 20 to April 11, as participants put their skills on display in our authentic restaurant-style training facility. Attendance is by reservation only.

We will be at St. John's Anglican for lunch service, March 20, 21, 22 and 23, and at the Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre at Mt Royal Collegiate for evening service, March 27, 28, 29 April 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11.

If you are looking for entry level staff, you will not find a better opportunity to meet qualified applicants and get a first look at STEC's newest Ready to Work graduates.

For those of you not familiar with the program, RTW combines classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, and on-the-job mentoring to under-represented groups making a transition from unemployment or underemployment into the tourism workforce. Since its inception in 1994, more than 40 communities in Saskatchewan and more than 2,900 individuals have participated in RTW, found long-term rewarding careers, returned to school, completed journeyperson trades certification, or received promotions from frontline to supervisory positions.

Ready to Work is a national program designed by the tourism industry to meet the needs of tourism and hospitality businesses looking for qualified employees. The program focuses on building participants? workplace essential skills, as well as providing valuable safety and customer service certification. The program provides hands-on practice in a broad range of occupational skills, including banquet service and entry level kitchen skills - all based on standards of service established by Canada's tourism and hospitality employers. Program graduates are "Ready to Work", bringing with them a familiarity of workplace practices and an eagerness to meet your needs as an employer.
